DESCRIPTION:JOIN US FOR A DAY OF WORKSHOPS\, CLASSES\, AND DANCE PERFORMANCES! IT’S FREE!\nArt Is Alive is a multi-disciplined arts conference that was established to present a multitude of art forms from an African and African diasporic experience to the community. This event is free to the public and welcomes attendees of all ages and backgrounds. \nArt Is Alive was developed to alleviate the financial barrier preventing some community members from participating in the cultural arts and to thank the community at large for its continued support.  It is our goal to bring together all of our community members to share in this experience of art and culture.  \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				One hourSCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES \nDance Classes + WORKSHOP (noon-3pm):\nAfrobeat\, Caribbean + Hip Hop Dance Classes Hosted by Asase Yaa School of the Arts.  \nAll classes are open to all ages and skill levels\, and are 45 minutes in length. \nResources for Raising a Child Artist WorkshopHosted By Asase Yaa in partnership with The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (One hour) \nLive Performances (3-7pm):\nAsase Yaa Youth EnsembleBatala New YorkFIYAA\, Forces of Nature Incredible Youth Arts AlliancePlezi RaraSoul Science Lab \nPRESENTED BY ASASE YAA CULTURAL ARTS FOUNDATIONEXECUTIVE PRODUCER: KOFI OSEI WILLIAMSPRODUCER: N’DACK FLEMINGSponsorship support provided by TD BANK \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\nArt Is Alive is our way of thanking and uniting our community with the arts\, music\, and culture. \nDon’t miss an inspiring multi-disciplinary community arts event that we have enjoyed presenting for the past 8 years!
