About School of the Arts

Founded in 2010, Asase Yaa School of the Arts was created to provide high-quality dance and drum instruction to students ages 3 to 18. While the African aesthetic of dance remains central to our identity, we proudly offer a diverse range of styles, including ballet, tap, modern, jazz, and hip hop, so students can grow as well-rounded, versatile artists.

But we offer more than just dance and music lessons. We nurture the whole child. Our holistic approach reinforces the connection between mind, body, and spirit, ensuring every student is supported not just as a performer, but as a developing person.

Whether a child dances for joy, for self-expression, or with professional aspirations, we are committed to providing a safe, healthy, and inspiring environment where they can thrive. Our goal is to help young people build the confidence, discipline, resilience, and self-awareness they’ll need to face life’s challenges—on stage and beyond.
