Thank you for being a valued part of our community.
CLASS POLICIES
Registration and Enrollment
- The program runs for 37 weeks (October -June ).
- Students will remain enrolled in the program unless a written cancellation notice is provided
- To withdraw from classes, written notice must be submitted via email by the 15th of the current month to avoid being charged for the following month’s tuition.
- A registration fee and the first month’s tuition are due at the time of enrollment to secure your child’s spot in class.
- Tuition will not be prorated for students who register after the 1st of the month. Full monthly tuition is required regardless of start date.
Tuition, Payment, and Additional Fees
- Tuition is based on the full dance year (October – June) and divided into equal monthly installments. It is not determined by the number of classes in any given month.
- Tuition is non-refundable
- All families are required to enroll in autopay as part of the registration process.
- Tuition is automatically processed on the 1st of each month.
Accepted Methods of Payment
- Credit/Debit (card must be kept on file)
- Cash or Check
Late Tuition Policy
- A $20 late fee will be applied to any account with an outstanding balance after the 5th of the month.
- If tuition is not paid by the 28th of the month, the student will be suspended from classes until the balance is cleared.
- Any returned payments or chargebacks will incur a $35 fee. Repeated payment issues may result in suspension from classes until the account is brought current.
Attendance and Make-up Classes
- Consistent attendance is essential for student progress, class flow, and group preparation for performances. Please notify the school in advance if your child will be absent. Excessive absences may affect recital participation.
- Make-up classes are only offered in the event of a studio-related cancellation. We are unable to provide make-ups for student absences due to personal scheduling conflicts or illness.
- No refunds or credits are issued for missed classes.
Account Responsibility
- It is the responsibility of each family to ensure their account remains in good standing. This includes keeping payment information up to date, monitoring billing activity, and addressing any issues in a timely manner. All communication regarding billing, tuition, and fees will be sent via email, and it is the family’s responsibility to read and respond as needed.
- Only the designated primary account holder is responsible for the account. Others may contribute toward payments, but the primary account holder is solely liable for any unpaid balances.
Dress Code Policy
- We welcome families into our community and ask for your support in reinforcing class expectations, arriving on time, and communicating with staff as needed.
- Please respect classroom boundaries during instruction.
Photo & Media Policy
- By enrolling, you agree to allow Asase Yaa School of the Arts to use photos and videos of your child for promotional and educational purposes. If you prefer to opt out, please submit a written request.
Parent & Family Expectations
- Participation in performances is encouraged as a valuable part of student development. Attendance at rehearsals and commitment to class are required to perform in recitals and showcases.
- Parents are responsible for all fees associated with recital participation, including recital fees, costume fees, and any additional expenses related to the performance.
- All fees (registration, annual tuition, costume, recital) must be paid in full, in order for my child to participate in the June recital.
Recital & Performance Policy
- Each class has a required dress code to ensure safety, unity, and full participation. Please refer to class-specific guidelines for appropriate attire and footwear. Students must arrive ready to dance.
- Dancers who do not adhere to the dress code may be asked to sit out and observe class. A consistent dress code helps ensure safety, discipline, and a focused learning environment.
- For safety and uniformity, dancers may be asked to remove jewelry before participating in class.
- Hair must always be pulled back neatly and secured away from the face to ensure safety and minimize distractions during class.
